and factory managing director. Between 1985 and 1990, Hu was vice president and assistant to the president of SAIC's
predecessor, the Shanghai United Automobile and Tractor Corp. He was assistant to the president of SAIC from 1990

Ali is Chief Representative
of Valeo Group in China. Until he assumed the current position last February, Ordoobadi was Deputy General Manager
of Valeo's joint venture, Valeo Wenling Automotive Systems in China's Zhejiang Province for two years. He joined
Valeo in 1988 and has held numerous positions in product development and international sales and marketing for
Valeo's manufacturing divisions of electrical and wiper systems. He worked briefly as a R&D engineer at the
Siemens Technical Center in Braunschweig after graduating from the Universite de Technologie de Compiegne with
a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ordoobadi also holds an M.S. and a B.A. degree from UTC. He studied Mechanical

tenure at Dongfeng, Miao was an official with the China National Automotive Industry Corp. (CNAIC) between 1982
and 1993 and then with the Ministry of Machinery Industry (MMI, now the State Administration of Machinery Industry,
or SAMI) when MMI took over the government supervisory role from CNAIC. Miao was in charge of the country's automobile
sales, production and planning. Miao was appointed Party general secretary of Dongfeng in 1997 and has been president
