AnAn, Qingheng is President of Beijing Auto Industry (Group) Corp. (BAIC). With a B.S. degree in Automobile Engineering from Qinghua University, Mr. An worked at the Beijing Gear Works from 1968 to 1984, rising to be its vice president and chief engineer. Between 1985 and 1989 he was general manager of Beijing Auto Works, Chrysler's partner at the Beijing Jeep Corp. Prior to his current position, he was vice president and chief engineer of BAIC.

ChaoChao, Marcus, Ph.D., is Vice President and Chief Representative of Delphi Automotive Systems China Operations. Dr. Chao joined General Motors in 1979 and over the years served as body engineering group manager and senior administrator for worldwide purchasing in the luxury car division. He joined Delphi China operations in 1994 and became chief rep. of the company's Shanghai office before taking the current position in 1997.
ChengCheng, Mei Wei is Chairman and CEO of Ford Motor (China) Ltd. He assumed this position on January 1, 1999. Prior to his current position, Mei Wei Cheng was president and chief operating officer, Ford Motor (China) Ltd. Cheng joined Ford in January 1998 from General Electric Corporation where he was a vice president of the company and regional executive and president of GE Appliance - Asia in Hong Kong. Prior to this he was chairman and CEO of GE (China) Ltd.
FusignaniFusignani, Franco is Executive VP of Mangeti Marelli SpA. He has been with the FIAT Group for thirty years, responsible for various functions in Europe, North and South America. As Vice President of New Holland, in charge of International Operations, and as Senior Vice President of Magneti Marelli, in charge of Business Development, he has been developing new initiatives and acquiring a deep knowledge in the evaluation of business, in the globalization and in the best practices. As Senior Vice President of Magneti Marelli, he is responsible for strategies, new initiatives, industrial and commercial coordination and international activities..
HanuskaHanuska, Viktor is President and Chief Representative of Michelin Asia(HK) Ltd. in charge of China & Korea. Born in 1942, he received his degee in Buisiness Administration at the University of Pforzeim in Germany. He joined Michlein in 1968 at the age of 32 and his assignments included industrial engineering, human resources, and business unit managemnet in Germany, France and the USA.
HuHu, Maoyuan is President of Shanghai Automotive Industry (Group) Corp. (SAIC). Before he took the current position last year, Mr. Hu was president of Shanghai-GM Automobile Co., Ltd. and vice president of SAIC. Hu started his career with SAIC in 1968 first as a worker at its subsidiary tractor factory and then rose to be workshop director and factory managing director. Between 1985 and 1990, Hu was vice president and assistant to the president of SAIC's predecessor, the Shanghai United Automobile and Tractor Corp. He was assistant to the president of SAIC from 1990 to 1991 and has been SAIC's corporate vice president since 1991. Hu holds a degree of administration (1989) from Fudan University.
KakowakiKadowaki, Koji is President of Guangzhou-Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. He joined Honda Motor Co., Ltd. upon his graduation from Osaka Foreign Language University in 1965. He became the Vice President of American Honda Motor Co. in 1982 and President of Honda Canada in 1987. In 1993, he became the President of Honda Motor China Co, Ltd. 3 years later he became the Chairman before being appointed the current position in June of 1998.
Liu S.Liu, Shijin Director of Industrial Economics, State Council Development & Research Center (DRC). Graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. and M.A. degree in economics, Liu received his doctorate degree in economics with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Liu joined the DRC, the State Council think tank, in 1994. He was deputy director of DRC's Market Research Institute, deputy director of the Department of Macro Economic Control before taking up the current position. Dr. Liu is also director of the DRC-CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) joint project on Challenges and Opportunities for China's Post-WTO Automobile Industry.
OrdoobadiOrdoobadi, Ali is Chief Representative
of Valeo Group in China. Until he assumed the current position last February, Ordoobadi was Deputy General Manager of Valeo's joint venture, Valeo Wenling Automotive Systems in China's Zhejiang Province for two years. He joined Valeo in 1988 and has held numerous positions in product development and international sales and marketing for Valeo's manufacturing divisions of electrical and wiper systems. He worked briefly as a R&D engineer at the Siemens Technical Center in Braunschweig after graduating from the Universite de Technologie de Compiegne with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ordoobadi also holds an M.S. and a B.A. degree from UTC. He studied Mechanical Engineering from 1978 and 1980 at the Iowa State University at Ames in the U.S.
PiattiPiatti, Roberto is Managing Director of Stile Bertone S.p.A. A native of Turin, Italy, Mr. Piatti graduated from the Politecnico of Turin with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1987/88. Between 1982 to 1986, he had been the contributing editor of Auto & Design magazine. From 1989 until 1996, he was held various positions at I.DE.A related to automobile design and projects. He has been the Marketing & Development Director with Stile Bertone before his current position.
SchrickSchrick, Markus is Director of Sales & Marketing, Asia-Pacific, Audi AG. Mr. Schrick joined Audi AG in 1992 in Ingolstadt as supervisor of pricing and sales controlling. He became director of finance and administration of Autogerma S.p.A. in Verona, Italy in 1995 before taking up the current position in 1997. Between 1988 and 1992, Schrick was with Ford Motor Co. as a financial specialist.
YangYang, Jinhuai is President and Chairman of the Board of Changhe Aircraft Industry (Group) Corp. Yang graduated in 1972 from the Tongji University in Shanghai with a degree in construction machinery. Over the years at the Changhe Aircraft Industry Co., he was designer, deputy director of design and vice president before taking up the position of president in 1995. He became president of the group corporation in February 1999. Chang'he is a leading manufacturer of minivans
ZahnerZahner Jr., Lawrence B. is President of General Motors China Group. since October 1998. As group president, Mr. Zahner has responsibility for GM operations in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China and is located in Beijing. His most recent assignment was executive vice president and general manager of Opel China GmbH located in Guangzhou. Zahner joined GM in 1973 with GM's Baltimore assembly division. Prior to his China assignment in 1997, he was director of the Ramos Arizpe Complex for GM de Mexico since 1993. He holds a bachelor's degree from the General Motors Institute and a M.A. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan Fellows Program.
ZhouZhou, Yongjiang is commercial vice president of FAW-VW. Prior to his current position he was vice president of the First Automobile Trading Corp., the sales and distribution division of First Automobile Group Corp..
BayBay, Luciano is Chief Representative of Fiat Internatinoal, Beijing. He is also the Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. Born in 1940 in Turin, Italy, he received his Business Administration Degree in Turin. Prior to his current position, he has represented Fiat in Hong Kong, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Indonesia.
ChenChen, David is President of Eaton(China) Investments Co., Ltd. He is responsible for Eaton Corporation business development activities in China and is sitting on the boards of established Eaton ventures in China. Prior to joining Eaton, Mr. Chen was working for the BOC Group, a multinational corporation based in London, England. Mr. Chen graduated from Cornell University in 1986 with an M.S. in Nuclear Science and Engineering
ChenChen, Hong is President of Shanghai GM Automobile Co., Ltd. With a degree in Industrial Automation from Tongji University in Shanghai, Chen entered the Shanghai Tractor and Automobile Co., the predecessor of Shanghai Automotive Industry (Group) Corp. (SAIC), in 1984. Shortly afterwards he became a member of the SAIC's team for the Shanghai-Volkswagen sedan project. Between 1985 and 1992, Chen was assistant to the executive vice president of human resources of Shanghai-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. as well as the company's director of policy research. Prior to his involvement in the Shanghai-GM sedan project in 1995, he was vice president and president of S-VW's Engine Factory. Chen was vice president of S-GM between 1997-1999.
GuoGuo, Jiyuan is President of Yafei Automobile Chain Store. Founded in 1994, Yafei is a national chain store with outlets in 240 cities nationwide. Mr. Guo is also president of the Century Automobile Club, an automobile rental/leasing company with 50 branches in the nation.

JacobyJacoby, Stefan is Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Volkswagen AG. Jacoby started his career with Wolkswagen in 1985. Over the years Jacoby worked as sales controlling, pricing, marketing and distribution. He worked for one year at Volkswagen of American and for two years at Volkswagen Audi Nippon KK in Japan. Prior to his current position, Jacoby headed the Volkswagen AG Board Office from 1995 to 1997.
LingLing, Yuzhang is Chairman of Fujian Automotive Industry (Group) Corp. (FAIC) and Dongnan (Fujiang) Automotive Industry Corp., a joint venture between FAIC and China Motors Corp. of Taiwan. A graduate of Beijing Institute of Engineering, Ling worked between 1973 and 1993 as technician, engineer, workshop and branch factory director and executive vice president of the Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Plant before taking up the current position.
LippoldLippold, Eike is President of DaimlerChrysler Northeast Asia. In 1991, Mr. Lippold became President of the Board of Directors of Mercedes-Benz Turkey A.S. and worked in that capacity until April 1998, when he was designated as senior vice president of DaimlerChysler AG and president & CEO of DaimlerChrysler Northeast Asia.
Liu B.Liu, Bimao is President of Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. Mr. Liu is a graduate of Nanjing River Transportation School. Upon graduation in 1976, he went to work at Tianjin Ocean Shipping Co. and rose to be captain in 1986. Prior to his current postion in 1998, he was president of Yancheng Ocean Shipping Co.
MiaoMiao, Wei is President of Dongfeng Motor Corp., formerly the Second Automobile Works. Miao has an undergraduate degree in internal combustion engine from Hefei University and a graduate degree in international trade. Prior to his tenure at Dongfeng, Miao was an official with the China National Automotive Industry Corp. (CNAIC) between 1982 and 1993 and then with the Ministry of Machinery Industry (MMI, now the State Administration of Machinery Industry, or SAMI) when MMI took over the government supervisory role from CNAIC. Miao was in charge of the country's automobile sales, production and planning. Miao was appointed Party general secretary of Dongfeng in 1997 and has been president since March 1999. Dongfeng is the country's second largest motor vehicle manufacturer.
PerkowskiPerkowski , John F. is Founder, Chairman & CEO of Asia Strategic Investment Corp. (ASIMCO), a U.S. investment company based in Beijing. With a B.A. from Yale University in 1970 and an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1973, Jack joined Paine Webber and later became its director of investment banking and a board member. In 1993 Jack and his two partners formed ASIMCO and have since then raised $250 million to invest in 13 joint-venture auto parts companies in China.
XiaoXiao, Guopu is president of Shanghai Automotive Industry Sales Corp. Mr. Xiao served as assistant to the president of Shanghai Auto Industry Corp. (SAIC) from 1994 to 1996. Before then he was managing director first of SAIC's Leaf Spring Factory and later of SAIC's Forging Factory.
YinYin, Jiaxu is President, Chang'an Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd. in Chongqing. A graduate of Chongqing Teachers' College, Mr. Yin first entered the Yuzhou Gear Works as a worker in 1976. Over the years until early 1996, he rose to be director of the president's office, union president, Party secretary and president. He became executive vice president of Chang'an in August 1996 and has been president since July 1998. Chang'an is a leading manufacturer of minicars, mini-vehicles and motorcycles.
ZhangZhang, Zhiyong is Deputy Director, Department of Foreign Investment Taxation under the State Administration of Taxation. A graduate of Beijing University of Foreign Languages, Mr. Zhang has worked over the past 16 years on policy and administration of foreign related taxes.
ZhuZhu, Yanfeng is President of First Automobile Group Corp. (FAW), China's largest motor vehicle manufacturer. Zhu is a graduate of Zhejiang University in 1983. He entered the FAW's Power Plant the same year as a technician. Three years later he moved to FAW's Department of Measurement became engineer and senior engineer. In 1994, Zhu became director of international sales and cooperation. He was promoted to be vice president of the group corporation in 1997 as well as president of the FAW Sedan Co. In 1998 he became executive vice president and a year later, president.
